Travelers Palm

Scientific Name: Ravenala Madagascariensis

Appearance: Traveler's Palm Trees are not really palm trees. They are actually a member of the bird of paradise family. Easily identifiable by its huge banana like leaves arranged as one huge fan. Traveler's palms can grow to 60 feet in height.  

Growing: Average to fast growth. Tolerates various types of soils with good drainage. Travelers Palms are considered very disease resistant. Full sun with average water needs and average maintenance.
